Update: Community Re-engagement Measures

June 8, 2020

Dear Residents and Families,

Dear Residents and Families,

We appreciate your continued support and understanding through the last 60 days as we’ve implemented our safety protocols and community measures in light of COVID-19 (Coronavirus). We recognize complying with these protocols hasn’t been an easy transition and we’re thankful for your patience.

As our national and local governing and health bodies have outlined plans for re-engaging our economies, we will be providing clearance on some of our guidelines around community outings and separation requirements for new move-ins. There are still risks involved with being in public. If you leave the community, you no longer need to comply with temporary separation protocols upon return; we always ask that you practice social distancing (six feet apart from others) when you are in public.

Our group life enrichment activities inside of the community are being organized with social distancing in mind. Our teams will continue organizing events in smaller group settings to maintain resident safety. Communal dining will be also be opening soon, and we will send you an informational packet on the upcoming dining areas’ reopening schedule.

As we cautiously ease back into the world, we will resume with allowing new residents to move in. We have set precautionary guidelines for new residents moving in that will require them to get tested for COVID-19, with negative test results to proceed with the move-in.

We continue to work diligently in keeping our community as safe as possible. As you come and go from the community, we will have disposable masks for you to utilize. We have also outlined safety measures we encourage you to take to protect yourself and others:

  • Monitor your symptoms. If you feel something, say something to a member of our team.
  • Wear a mask when around others.
  • Continue to practice social distancing.
  • Engage in proper (and frequent!) handwashing and sanitizing techniques.

Again, we thank you for your willingness to comply with our measures. Your strength and optimism during this uncertain time have helped us keep our spirits high. If you have any questions about our updated measures, please reach out.
